Latest News: Many thanks to those of you who supported us this last difficult season when we were able to be open. Unfortunately it is now apparent that the need for around the clock care for our lovely new granddaughter in Seattle will extend into the "years" timeframe so our priorities have changed. We may be looking for someone else to take on the fun and challenges of the vineyard, winery, and vacation rental in the near future as we ponder a more permanent move off island. If you have any interest in owning a fun semi-retirement situation with a beautiful acreage and a lovely house please give me a call!
Anderson Island Vineyards winery is probably Washington's smallest winery, making a variety of handmade wines from our own estate grown wine grapes. Our winery is considered micro-sized, with an anticipated production of around 300 cases per year. That is very, very, very small in the world of commercial wineries. We will be open most summer weekends and during the winter by appointment, or just drop by if the gate is open. Our phone number is 360-480-0789. We can also be reached by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or through the Andersonislandvineyards Facebook site.
We also operate a self-catering vacation rental within the winery building. Information on the vacation rental can be seen by clicking the appropriate "page" on the above banner.
Anderson Island Vineyards is located at 9817 Otso Point Road on the southern-most island in Washington State's Puget Sound region. The Vineyard is within the Puget Sound AVA. We grow vitis vinifera varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Regent, St. Laurent, and Siegerrebe. We hope to make a variety of wines using our own estate grown wine grapes. Please feel free to come visit us, taste our wines, visit the vineyard, and perhaps have a picnic
A few visitors have asked about weddings on our property. We may have available various settings for small outdoor weddings depending on the number of participants, including a true winery themed option. We would simply supply a venue. You would need to provide all other services including decorations, chairs, tents, and food. Dressing and prep rooms are available to the bridal party and we have an option for overnight accommodations. Please contact us at Andersonislandvineyards@gmail.com or 360-480-0789 for a tour or other information.
Anderson Island is reached by Pierce County ferry leaving from Steilacoom, Washington. Please check their website at: http://www.co.pierce.wa.us/index.aspx?NID=1793 for the schedule and rates.
